Message from our President, Michelle Kennedy

I am honored to serve as your President for 2010. I'd like to thank Sallie Petrucci George for all of her leadership and dedication to the organization during her tenure as president. She spearheaded NJPHA’s effort to update and create an effective Strategic Plan that will lay the groundwork for the future of the organization. This vital document provides a well researched, thoughtful plan for us to forward in 2010 and beyond.

The mission of NJPHA is to advocate and support the cause of public health in NJ. The organization is in a unique position to effectively advocate for important issues that impact the people and environment of our state, however without participation from members and partners our voices may not be heard. Currently we have several Executive Board member positions & Committee Chair position that are vacant. They are as follows:

If you are interested in becoming more active in NJPHA or would like more information about these positions, please participate in our first meeting is scheduled for Monday February 1, 2010 from 11am-12:30. To further build capacity in the infrastructure of NJPHA, I am committed to improving the way we communicate with our members and constituents, developing more opportunities to support knowledge and skill acquisition of our members and creating an active student section for the association.
