
Call for Awards
Every year at the Annual Meeting New Jersey Public Health Association recognizes public health champions and individuals for their outstanding contributions to the cause of health of the public in New Jersey. We invite you to nominate your candidate(s) for the following awards.
Dennis J. Sullivan Award: The New Jersey Public Health Association's Highest Award. Established in 1976 and named after Dennis J. Sullivan who was a health officer who dedicated his life to improving the public health of New Jersey.
Lloyd M. Felmly Award: Presented to an individual for outstanding contribution in the media to the cause of public health in New Jersey. Established in 1976 named after Lloyd M. Felmly, Editor, of the Newark Evening News and a friend of public health.
Dr. Ezra Mundy Hunt Award: Presented to an individual for outstanding service and leadership to the cause of public health. Established in 1995 and named after Dr. Ezra Mundy Hunt, a pioneer in 19th Century public health in New Jersey.
Ronald Altman Award: Presented to a student for outstanding work in a health-related course of study.
