Call for Nominations

The New Jersey Public Health Association (NJPHA) is seeking information for the following:

Executive Board's Seats:

1. One First Vice President
2. One Second Vice President
3. One Secretary
4. One Treasurer
5. One Member-At-Large

The NJPHA Executive Board, as the governing body of the Association, consists of eleven (11) officers of the Association including the President, President Elect, First and Second Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, two Member-At-Large, the Affiliate Representatives to the Governing Council, and two immediate Past Presidents with diverse experience in public health and other health related professions. The Executive Board is responsible for making policy and provision of leadership and oversight.

Length of a Term

Candidates must be available to serve a minimum of one-year term beginning January 2009 through December 31, 2009.

Desired Attributes and Qualificaitons

The role of the Executive Baord members of this scientific and educational Association is to advance the cause of public health by development of effective policy and services on national, state and local levels by the protection of the environment; by the dissemination of accurate information; by the encouragement of citizen participation and support in all health activities; by the promotion of the hightest professional standards in public health; and by elimination of public health disparities.
